Trip Cost Calculator

Enter fuel, tolls, daily expenses and your margin; see the cost of the trip and the amount per kilometre.

Whether a freight rate is worth it depends on the real cost of the trip, not on the total figure. Enter your own numbers: fuel prices and tolls change too often for a fixed table to be kept here. The calculation runs in your browser and is not sent anywhere.

Cost of the Trip

The result changes as you fill in the boxes. An item left empty counts as zero.

Currency

Enter the loaded distance and at least one expense; the cost appears here.

This is a rough estimate. Remember to divide monthly costs such as depreciation, loan instalments, driver wages and taxes per trip and add them to “other expenses”. SeyirGo does not set prices.

Which Items Count

A forgotten item comes out of your profit.

Fuel

Loaded plus empty kilometres × consumption. An empty return burns fuel too; entering only the loaded distance understates the cost.

Tolls and crossings

Motorways, bridges, tunnels and ferries; on international trips also transit permits, visas and border costs.

Daily expenses

Allowance, meals, parking and accommodation. Days spent waiting at loading or at the border count too.

Other expenses

Tyre and maintenance share, insurance, commission; the per-trip share of fixed monthly costs.

Three Things That Change the Result

The same rate can be a profit or a loss depending on these.

Empty kilometres

Without a return load, the outbound rate pays for fuel in both directions. Finding a return load is the step that cuts cost the most.

Waiting

Every day spent at loading, unloading or the border raises daily expenses; on lanes where waiting is likely, set the number of days accordingly.

Per kilometre

The easiest way to compare lanes is the amount per kilometre: a trip with a bigger total rate can earn less per kilometre.
